Default Winter projects?

This thread is to discuss cub related winter projects, I will go first I guess. I plan to build a 14 or 16hp engine for in my 108 and have custom hood decals made for whichever size engine I do, I also plan to buy tires and paint for my 1811 so when spring comes I have everything I need to tear it down and paint it.

I have a few "in progress" projects that I intend to finish this winter. I have all but finished a rear mount sickle bar mower. It is a Haban model 414 that was built for a Wheel Horse. I'm going to do a trail run with it this weekend! I'll post some pictures shortly.
I started on retrofitting a Johnson loader on a Super last winter. It's 75% done and just needs the hydraulics finished up.
I posted some pictures of another project a while back. I'm replacing the "Cyclops" plastic with 82 series grill and modified hood and using the "Cyclops" side panels. Just about have a mock up done. It's going to be a different look, some will like it and others will not approve.
The 3 point crane boom with dolly wheels works great. It just needs to be painted.
Since I've semi-retired, maybe I can finish some things.

I bought a 1864, it's just grown from there. The Cubs have replaced old Chevys as my hobby/passion. The only car I have left is a '67 Chevelle wagon.
Seems like a good trade off. I can put five Cubs where one car sat and there are no titles or license to fool with!

I would like to put power steering on my 1863, I would like to rebuild a m18 that I have, I need to replace the starter on the 1811, Also I need to replace a head gasket on the 1811, I want to build a rear boom/crane for the 1872, I'm working on a sweeper for the 1811, I'm building a weight bracket for the 1863. I may put a chute control cable for the 450 blower. That about covers it for now.

Guess I will be getting the clutch and driveshaft back in my 1200. Change oil pan on it, install solid mounts, fix 3 pin driver. Wanna get started working on my 1211, but it's my snow pusher. The 1211 will become a 1282 or a 1288, not sure yet. Going to paint it like a 88 series IH tractor. Oh need the take back off my welder and see why the fan quit.

Was thinking about building a front mounted leaf blower. Quick attach, pto driven. Then I could drive up and down the lane and blow the leaves back into the woods. Not sure if the 1200 has enough in it to propel itself and run a decent size blower at the same time. Most commercial type blowers have 9 hp engines on them. Lots of other thoughts but that's what I'm thinkin right now.

Still on my 71 rest project. Have been since last winter. Engine blew in my truck and that took the time and money away from the 71. After christmas I plan to start laying some paint

Sorry but no winter projects. Gonna hibernate till spring. All my stuff is in running condition for a change and put away for the winter.

Looking for a 2000 series like a 2160, 2165 or 2185 with a 48" deck. Plan on modifying the deck to fit a JD330 and then part the remains of the Cub. Figure the best part of the JD will be the deck when I get done.

Going to put new s/g and v/r on my 125. My 70 will wait till spring. It's getting a new coil to start then more new parts if needed. My 582S runs good, just needs a carb adjustment.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
