Those are my favorite Fords, they looked alot like the larger compact tractors of the day. A true 3pt hitch is pretty rare but they did exist.... Im still looking, the tiller had sleeve hitch which is fairly common, I modified one for a trailer hitch that works nicely.

Im still thinking a 108/128 is what I should be looking for, with a K341 it would be MY idea of a perfect Cub, altho I like the grill styling on my 126 more, it looks a bit like my Loboy should IF I ever find a grill. Lol

last I checked the fiberglass shell was the only piece available, no light bezel or grill screen, and its fairly pricey getting one to Canada so Im hoping to come across a cheap tractor here with at least some parts of the grill left.

Nice... my Hydro 86 had a similar grill... not so nice condition mind you, I bought it for $2400, used it one summer and sold it for $2400.

I had a question by PM about how I did the hood extension on my 148. Here's a couple pics. I slotted the hood extension to take the 1/4 x 3/4 inch bars which slid into the slots from behind and then are held in place and filleted/blended in with epoxy putty.
The larger grill was half lapped with the same material, then brazed. After I finished the tractor, I was informed that the grills should have been grey, as that is what the 1066 had, and looking at the picture I had, I realized that was true. I just didn't catch it before I did the painting.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
