Tunames,
If UP still operated on the MoPac, you might see my Cubbies and I train watching here in Osage City. My property borders the old MoPac right of way. As for what I do, I'm a machinist. I setup and operate Haas and Mori Seiki vertical mills for a living and operate my own manual machine shop for fun.

Retired from CSX RR after 43 years as a locomotive engineer. Operated every train we had; yard switchers, local freight, double barrel coal trains (144 cars 6 locomotives) fast container ((stack trains) and Amtrak. I had a great career and loved "running" trains. Saw huge changes in the industry, from simple locomotives to computers controlling everthing we did on the trains except take a restroom break.

I own and run my own taxidermy shop, and do a lot of guiding for pheasant hunters and clean and process birds in the fall. Did a lot of farming growing up and still help out on the family farm every now and then.

I started out working at Piper Aircraft in final assembly for about 2 years then the plant closed and I moved on to the local papermill where I spent the next 25 years or so working in the maintenance crew installing sprinkler lines and other fire equipment and yes once again they closed up and I went back to college and I am now the systems admin where I work now. It has been quite a change for me over the years and a real experience maker to say the least. I applaud OCC for such a diverse group of people.

I would like to say all the help I get here is greatly appreciated.

Right now I sell asphalt products. I hope to design a cub part to sell to members, become a moderator, then retire on the royalties and moderator salary in some obscure place in Virginia.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
