Default KT17 II Carb ID

Not finding this one in the kohler manual or cross reference documents I can find.

On parts tree, there's two carb kits and one is a lot more than the other. Just don't want to order the wrong one.

It LOOKS like it's a kohler adjustable one, and doesn't say Walbro on it anywhere, but I can't find 52 053 02 referenced anywhere.

That is definitely the Carter built Kohler carburetor.. I think the regular old K series kit fits it.. The Walbro did not have a high speed adjustment and the kits for them are usually a lot more

That's what I wanted to hear. Awesome!

So the KH-25-757-02 kit should take care of it?

Yes I believe that kit will get you in business for a minor overhaul on most any of the K series Carter style carburetors. I'm not well schooled on the series II twins though so somebody feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

I misread my S/N tag in the photo I took. The KH-52-053-02 carb is the part # that is in parts tree for < S/N 686554, and I've got 667432. Thought I read it as 687432.

Still odd that that part # doesn't show up in the kohler cross reference books.

Thanks all!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
