Here are a couple more IH related items in the shop. Got quite a few 12 pt sockets and some wrenches as well. Yes we still use them all the time. For whatever reason, we have more Wright tools than IH, I don't know if they are all replacements for broken IH wrenches or if IH was supplying Wright wrenches instead of IH badged ones. I was too little to remember, but I do know the ones we have seem to have been here as long as I can remember.

Very Nice John!!

I have small handful of IH tools from my uncle... he worked for the local IH dealership in the mid 1950's but i'm not really sure if the tools are that old.

Very neat though... Nice that ya'll still use them!

Real cool John. I found some Wright tools when I cleaned out fathers tool boxes, didn't know where they came from.

Here is a thermometer from the IH dealer my dad worked for. I am guessing it pre dates Cadets, as there is no mention of them, however it does mention Remington chainsaws. I know the dealer carried Remington and Mall saws, but dropped them after complaints from farmers needing tractors worked on while the mechanics were working on chainsaws. Once farming left the area and lawn and garden became king, they took on Echo and did quite well with it.

Nice looking can! I think there is one here that is banged up and rusty.

We've got a couple round Case-IH gauges from the late 80's. I'll take a pic. They were/are excellent gauges. Sold for close to $7 thirty years ago.

Don't know if these were for sale or if just a promo given to dealers. Dates to late 70's early 80's

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
