Really what the forum needs is a recognizable logo, then you could put that on anything.

I propose a logo contest.
I second the contest idea. But during such contest, we could not use the onlycubcadet.com url, correct?

Edit: So other things that would be off limits are the IH symbol, CCC/MTD symbol, and the Cub Cadet name but what about the image of a Cub Cadet? A silhouette maybe? I really do like the idea, just need to know where the line is drawn for it

Wait a tic, what about a hat or shirt that says OCC? OCC means something to the guys that frequent here but means nothing to 99% of the rest of the population out there. Hmm, the gears are turning now

Yes, it would have to be a symbol, or drawing/sketch, or something that says OCC, I don't think abbreviations would count as trademark infringement.

I'm pretty sure that this has been hashed through before, don't remember what happened except we didn't get any hats.

I do think a very professional looking Only Cub Cadets logo that could be put on hats and shirts would be really great... not that there is anything wrong with what we already have.

Maybe the people at MTD would cut us some slack if a portion of the proceeds went to a charity. Although, I think the current MTD Cub Cadet logo really sucks...

Guys,
If you are serious about getting hats, give Wally's Tractor Hats a look. I have known Wally for several years now, consider him a friend and I buy all of the hats for our Oliver club from him. Wally and his daughter have some of the nicest hats you will find. All of their hats use a patch instead of the logo being embroidered on the hat. If I remember right, you need to order 3 dozen hats to get wholesale pricing. You can mix and match hat styles and patches however you want, it all counts toward the minimum for the wholesale order.

You need one of those hair pieces that go inside the little opening.
I ain't saying I need one though.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
