Default A father's day surprise!

OK, you folks know I'm a sucker for a tractor ride

A friend of mine had his buddy who is a local farmer drop off a tractor for him to use to mow his lawn. My buddy sent me a text and asked if I wanted to drive it around. Not a lot of arm twisting needed here HAHAHA! This was so much fun!!!

This was my first ride on a larger tractor. Now when I say larger I'm comparing this to my cubs. I'm hoping to talk my way onto an old Ford pretty soon if all goes well

I can totally see how folks get hurt on these things though! They are so top heavy and the torque they have it just insane so popping the clutch and pulling up the front end is a no brainer. Farming is a full contact sport man!

The bush hog just made quick work of some really tall stuff. Small trees got totally leveled. I learned that the blade takes some time to slow down so I'm guessing it's just some massive hunk of steel spinning around chopping everything in sight

So much fun!!!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
