My 2 favorites--the one with a PTO shaft going to a wagon to pull the ice cream freezer and the one with real Cub rear wheels, fenders and front end---bound to drive horribly being that wide and that short of wheel base!

Great pictures and great show. I was there Wednesday through Friday. There was more red paint than you can imagine!
If any of you ever get the chance, you need to take in a Red Power Roundup show. The variety of IH equipment is amazing. Next year the show is in Des Moines, Iowa.

I bought a 1864, it's just grown from there. The Cubs have replaced old Chevys as my hobby/passion. The only car I have left is a '67 Chevelle wagon. Seems like a good trade off. I can put five Cubs where one car sat and there are no titles or license to fool with! Tim |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
