When I was about 6 or 7 I decided to check the oil in my go-cart---with it running. Enough said

I will tell my biggest oops to date, I was going to mow grass with my grand father back in the late 70's and dad told me to check the oil before we started, so I did and it seemed ok but only a little wile into our mowing the O"L 102 kept getting slower and slower. Well to make a longer story short it locked up so tight my dad couldn't even turn it over with a long digging bar,
Time for rebuild #2 at that point, but dad did admit the dipstick (no not me lol) was broken and had slid to far down the engine but to this day we still talk about that event. I thought for sure my dad was going to woop my rear, .

Smooth move ace.
That'll happen, but only once. Thanks for the laugh Tim, I needed one today. Sorry it was at your expense this time.

I forgot to put the gas cap back on once, that was a mess and lucky some didn't catch fire! And I filled my transmission oil once it was low ( manual transmission) for some reason I went to back my truck up and left the plug out of the tranny, that made a heck of a mess like Jon and the 1466!

Year before that was even better I just remembered, filled an escort gt manual trans with 80W and when it's 10 below the next day the customer calls and says they can barely shift it when it's cold. Doh!

Did that once, wasn't so lucky. 14.5HP B&S. Replaced it. At least we can laugh at each other (knowing full well we've all pulled a good one at least once.)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
