Put a new battery in the Honda today and took it for a short ride. 56 degrees here in southern Il, with a nice brisk 30mph wind out of the NW. Brrrrrrr..... I rode about 6 or 7 miles and put it back up. It was 70 and calm yesterday!!

Somehow, a spider got up in my speedo though... I am going to have to figure out how to get the lens off, or take it apart as it made a web in it and the needle won't go past 30!! That's never happened before!

Default Picked up a nice Goldwing

Getting ready to get out and enjoy riding season this year. Found a sweet GL1500 with 28,000 miles. Keep your eyes open Sam, my buddy and I are planning on riding the back of the Dragon and that comes right thru Galax.

DWayne, you SUCK!!

I've been looking for a good deal on a Wing, and just haven't found one yet. Not saying there aren't any good deals..... cause there have been, but not on any that caught my eye. You know, some ugly color, or some ugly customization that I would have to change.

The local bike shop I hang out in has a black '02 GL1800 that I have been drooling over, but for the $11,000 price tag I'll just keep drooling. I can buy just as nice of one on C-list for $8,000. My wife would prefer a Valkyrie anyway.

Seriously... NICE BIKE!

Thanks... I had to travel to Western Ky to get this one but was worth it. It had pink and lavender pinstripes and star bursts on it. Still scratching my head on that. They were removed immediately LOL. As a side note. Beware of the early GL1800's. Frame breakage has plagued them. 2005 and above is your best bet.

DWayne, any advice on the Valkyries? Any years to avoid?

For some odd reason, the little gal just doesn't want to ride a Wing. She is totally fine with a Valkyrie Interstate with bags and a trunk.... I think it's the big faring that she doesn't like. (Eye roll....)

I'd love to find a nice '83 Goldwing Standard. I missed an IMMACULATE one on C-list last summer. Went for $2,000. It was for real. Guy jockied bikes and just wanted to move it. I'm sure he got it in some trade. It looked like it belonged in an ad for the bike from when it was new. Ok... it wasn't PERFECT.... but it was close.

Actually I have not heard any negative issues with the Valks trouble wise. The "main" problem seems to be the heat they produce. If you find one ride it till it gets good and warmed up and see if the heat bothers you. Of course it will be worse in the dead of summer. I hope you find you something.

I'll ignore the suck comment ROFLMAOOO

Got some badly needed seat time today. Pic from one of the overlooks on the BRP. Weather was perfect and no traffic.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
