I'm from Enfield, Which is in north central CT just below the Mass border. It's about 20 miles north of Hartford, but pretty much any town is within a stones throw of Hartford.

You guys crack me up, CT is what a 1 hour drive east to west? Try VA some time 323 miles on I81 from the north to the south. Oh it's too far to go from New Haven to Hartford. LMAO

Just had to bust being an ex CT resident.

I live in Wallingford. I just bought my first cub a couple months ago that's when I became a member. This past weekend I just bought two more and a tiller. Everyone told me once you buy one you catch the bug and they were right!

Yes sir I did, It is running great. I got a bunch of parts for it, I need to try to find some skid plates though, and someone who does decals for it. I got a manual for it, and some information from Jacobsen directly. How'd you make out with the Hydro?

hey that 1650 looks mighty familiar.

just found this thread, but I've been on the forum for a bit now. I've been mowing with a 100 since my dad brought it home in June of '92. A few months back, he gave me that very 100, and since then I've been bitten by the bug. Yellow fever 100%. It's a curse and a blessing. ...but my 7 y/o son is already bit too. The past couple nights he's been on my case about going out to the garage to work on the tractors.

After I dropped off that 1650 to you, about 2 hrs later, I filled the trailer back up but with a 122.

Current stable is:

100 from my dad: 42" cast end deck, headlights, taillight, weights, creeper, fenders. My weekly mower.
100 restored from a fellow CT cc'er: stripped, but I've been collecting options for it.
New addition: 122: 42" cast end deck, headlights, taillight, creeper, 3-pt lift, rear PTO (huge bonus there). All original, completely unrestored. Not currently running, but hopes to be by the end of the week.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
