New Wheels
Finally got me some start wheels. I had to make a sign to trade for them. They are used wheels. I gave him my 8" wheels. What handling difference will I notice with these taller wheels? I eventually want to remove the spindle bolt and move it up about 2 inches lowering it back down.

I would assume with taller wheels you would have less wheel off time before the front end gets too high to pull anymore and your pull is over. How do they measure the front end lift in your pulling association and do they stop you from pulling at a certain point of lift or just when forward motion ceases?

hj,
Very nice looking puller. I have thought about trying that some day. Maybe during retirement. I think I have enough cubs to work with. Any recommendations on which type model or style is best suited? I hate to start, looks addictive! I love to see a good tractor pull! Tires look great! Regards, Chris

I love the rolling stock on this tractor all around! The rear tires are really what I think are cool though. I would have liked to have those yesterday. I latched the cub onto a 19' fiberglass boat that has been laying in my yard (dont ask!) and was surprised to see the cub tug it a few feet no problem, but then I lost traction and that was that. Need some ag tires or something lol.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
