Transfer 1A tiller from 124 to 129
A year or so I requested information for my CC124 with manual tranny and installation of a CREEPER gear. (Refer to my Thread..boxccc) for details.
Well after I don't know how many installations and take downs of the CREEPER gear, I have finally quit. I would like to transfer my International Tiller 1A-u111 from the CC124 to a CC129 with the Hydro stat tranny. The gear box continuously would not engage, and I did replace the small lever internal as well as making absolutely sure to use nothing but Spindle pins and not the regular pins. My question is this: Can the drive belt used for the 124 work with the 129, and if not why not? |

I use a Gates AX144 on my 129 w/tiller for the long belt.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
