Default Anyone put a 60" Haban deck on a 2284?

It's not shown as an attachment on partstree. Looks like it may need a different belt for the larger PTO pulley on the 2284.

Thanks-

Yep, they'll fit and work. If you wait a bit, Sam Mac will be along to verify this and give more info as he is the Cyclops man

Parts tree shows a part number 325, 60 inch, deck on there. Don't know if it's a Haban or not.

Yeah that's a different 60" deck. I'm referring to the 374 deck-

Thanks though-

What deck are you putting on the 2284? Should be no big deal to find a belt for it. Cub had a 60" deck for the 2284. As long as you have the big pulley on the deck it should be what ever the factory calls for.

Sam,

I have the 374 deck that has been used on the 1872 and 2082 with the smaller pto pulleys on magnums. The 2284 pulley is bigger. So will that work or will the deck spin too fast? I figure a belt 1 or 2 inches longer should work but I'll try the current belt first, figure it may be too short though.

I aslo have a 54" GT deck that is made for the 2284. Just checking my options though.

Thanks.

and when I say the pulley is bigger I'm referring to pulley diameter, NOT belt diameter. These are all 5/8's belt pulleys I believe

No big deal, replace the center pulley, here is the part info
Cub Cadet 756-3057 Pulley, Center

After that this should fit but no guaranty, I just go to TSC and get the 3 closest sizes and use what fits best and return the others.
Cub Cadet 954-3051A (replaces 754-3051A) Belt, Mule Drive

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
