Blades for 60" decks
I suppose everyone else knew this, but I just found out that Stens has blades for the 60" decks. They are part #325-908. The prices I found are much better than the Cub Cadet blades. I had bought Oregon blades before, but they are NLA.

You can't go wrong with CCC blades. They are twice as thick, harder and last longer than the others. Just my

I think I saw Patton acres had them for $45 for a set... might be wrong
I use the cub cadet blades with the tungsten edge... been running the same set on a 44 inch deck for over ten years

Jonathan,
Just how thick are the CC blades? The Oregon and the Stens are both 1/4" thick. I will agree that the CC blades are better quality though, but they are $70.89ea. Will they outlast the aftermarket ones 3 to 1 like the price says? My Oregon blades are on their 2nd year without needing sharpened. Not trying to start an argument here, I'm just wondering if they really are that much better.

So it is. I guess I never noticed that. I don't know why. I'll have to pick up a set next time I'm at the dealer.
When I bought the blades for the 42" on my 127 about 10 yrs. ago, I guess the dealer I used to use really stuck it to me. They cost me about 2x what the CC website lists them for now. Maybe that's part of the reason he isn't in business anymore. Too bad I didn't know about the CC site or the forums then.

I just got a genuine CCC set for my 60" Haban with the hardened tungsten carbide edge from cubcadetpartsnmore.com @ 130.00 for the set of three. they are 1/4 inch thick also.
That seems high but I have had those carbide edge blades last ten years or longer on other decks. Rarely sharpen them. Patton acres has the Stens blades for I think $45.00 for the set of 3... I agree.. that's hard to beat almost 3 sets to one...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
