And who says old cubs are hard to work on, lol! The 70 looks great, and I got to see that and the 123 at the '12 Sugarcreek tractor jam! Wonder where the 123 ever did end up after RPRD? Maybe I can onward to SD next year? Going to try!!!!

drglinski, johncub7172, zippy1 and Keith124.

Thanks for your comments. The older IH Cub Cadets are much easier to work on than the newer stuff.

The winner of the IH cub Cadet from Red Power Round Up 2013 was John R. from West Virginia.

Thanks to everyone who purchase tickets on the IH Cub Cadet 123.

Question axle housings

Merk, Uncle Dick turned out awesome. I was curious about 1 thing tho. When you originally opened the rear for cleanout , did you remove axle housings for cleanout also. When I did mine I found alot of crud in both housings. Someone here had suggested to do this and I'm glad I did. I don't think there is a drain back hole to center section , thus all the crud that collects there.
Great job, looking forward to the next one.

Chris

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
