Picked up a #2 cart.
I picked up our new to us #2 cart this morning. 280 miles round trip to Muscatine Iowa. Got it home washed it and here it is on the back of my daughters Original. It's a one owner cart. The original owner claims it was purchased with the Cub Cadet logos on it. It is in good condition with just a small amount of small dents in the bottom from normal use. I'm not sure if the tires are the originals because they are a wheelbarrow type tire and made by Cheng Shin. The PO did some touch up painting with a brush that looks ok but could have been better. Overall I'm happy with it but most importantly my daughter is happy. Not sure if we are going to keep it original or if we will clean it up and paint it and put IH logos on it to match with her Original.

Looks great, glad you got it. Those tires aren't original then, most definitely a Wheel barrow tire.

That cart is in great shape... Put a spring on it and you can dump it with a rope from your seat.

Being that the tires are not correct my daughter found these http://www.millertire.com/products/l...er-trac-2-ply/ and she wants to get them for the cart.

Nice looking cart, congrats on the purchase. Just my 2 cents but I'd use it as is and not worry about it having the "Correct" tires. That said you don't want to see my cart or should I say rust on wheels. Oh and every time I use it I need to air up what's left of the tires.

I only want the IH logos on it, I really wanted the paint original. With the brush paint touch ups on it it's going to be difficult to change the decals. It has firewood in it now, need wood to heat the house to keep us warm. It's a worker so far.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
