Default 60" haban deck Rebuild !

Started on the Haban, tore it down need to order new berrings, and a few other items. Have to get a new hanger and mule drive, and the little locking blocks for the blades.
Rescue11 is going to weld up the cracks on the deck and a few other things. Then back to me to blast and paint. I think my little Simplicity 727 deck will be a little easier.

Started fabbing the missing and replacing the worn out baffles on Keiths Haban deck this evening. Had a beer, put on some good tunes and went to work. 4 hours later, I have this.

This is where I got the bearings for my Habans.

VXB.COM 1-800-928-4430
8 Bearing 6205-2RS 25x52x15 Sealed Ball Bearings
Price: $31.37
Code: Kit487
http://www.vxb.com/page/bearings/PROD/Kit487

They come in a pack of 8 so you'll end up with 2 extras. Remember to remove one of the seals from each bearing and install the unsealed side to the inside of the housing or you won't be able to grease them.

Thanks, I knew I had seen it on here somewhere. Now It's time to sand Blast the deck and paint. then we are ready. Well almost, still need to find a good used sub-frame and mule drive. I might have a complete one for $100.00 + shipping. still waiting on the guy to get back to me.

I also used these guys for bearings, a decent product for the money. I think I recognize the part number as one of the bearings I ordered when I rebuilt the headstock on an old Shopsmith, must be a lot of applications for this size.

Got the subframe back together, but I'm confused on the hangers. They dont want to fit in without hitting the subframe. Here are a few pix. I know I'm just doing something simple wrong here????

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
