Default The multi tractor combination project I am only doing once

Well, I tried to shoehorn this Kohler CH18 into a engineless 149, and then I came across most of a 682. So I've decided to build a tractor out of all these partial tractors I have sitting around, just to do it. It will look like a 782 when done. I have a 1641 frame that I installed the CH18 engine into, the cast iron rear from the 149, and the dash (and soon to be fenders and hood) and steering box and steering wheel from the 682, and the hydraulic spool from the 149, custom bent and custom flare fittings reusing pluming from the 1641 and the nuts from the 149 pipes, a 1641 lift cylinder, and a 1641 axle. Oh and part of a driveshaft and the wiring harness (modified) from a 2185. Here are couple picture previews of the this project.

"One piece at a time... it's a 149 682 782 1641 2185....".

Maybe "Cubenstein". Make sure you look at Zippy's 2372 driveshaft issue so you don't have problems. Keep us posted

You might as well blow apart the 1641 rear end and use the fine spline axles and carrier in the 149 rear end to beef it up while your at it!

Good idea, what's in there now? It's a 682 rear end not a 1641.

I've been wondering... Why is fine spine better as far as pulling?

It's starting to look like a tractor.

And the 682 engine was donated to another member's 682 tractor this morning for a pretty decent shape IH #2 dump cart.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
