Default 3-point and rear PTO compatibility

Hello. I am looking to find out if this will work without any issues. I have a 2182 with a 3-point and rear PTO. I am going to be picking up a 1572 and I am wondering if the 3-point and rear PTO from the 2182 will fit on the 1572. I looked on Parts Tree and it shows the same part numbers for both machines. When I do the Swap I will be installing a set of Sam Mac rear braces. I am just looking to find out if someone has done this before and if everything will bolt up with no modifications or additional parts. I will be ordering the rear braces next week as soon as I pick up the 1572 and want to be sure nothing else is needed to make the swap. Thanks for any help and opinions.

It should play with no problems. You'll need 6 longer bolts than come in the kit for the lower attachment points for the lower links. This is my 2182 with the 3 point and the brace kit.

I don't believe the rear brace will work along with having a 3 pt, without modifications, because they share the same mounting bolts on the bottom of the axle housing. I am currently looking into this for my 1772 w/ 3pt, have the brackets just haven't got them to fit yet. Maybe someone has done this already and can elaborate.

Hi Sam. I'm newbie. And seeing you have a 3pt hitch on your 2182. I have just acquired a 2182 790hr for 1993yr 60" hayban deck. I want to put 3pt hitch on mine. Where does one get one and how expensive?
I live southern il and want to put blade on for winter pushing snow and/or drag my gravel driveway. Also, want to make a FEL for snow removal and move dirt around, understanding 200lb lift and easy does it. ANy suggestions on size and length of cyclinders?

I suggest the Ruegg 3 point hitch. It's a copy of the factory hitch.

You'll need to call Bill, he's mostly a John Deere guy and doesn't list the Cub hitch.

One of our members Rescue11 is developing a 3 point that looks interesting, you may want to PM him.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
