Will wide frame attachments fit my 1872?
I am wondering if wide frame attachments will fit my 1872. I was thinking they would but someone told me they wont. I understand lift rods or what ever might not work but as far as attaching? I found a johnny bucket Jr for a wide frame and also looking at a push blade for WF is why I am asking.

Not really...aside from the mower decks and the 2-stage snowblowers, the super attachments are super-specific.

Hey Matt,
Is the frame wider on a super? Or is the bolts or QA latch in a different spot? I can fabricate, maybe you would know if it would be easy to make a Johnny bucket JR mount the front? Thanks

No, the front frame interface is identical, but the longer frame makes a WF blade not work, and the tractor sits much higher because of the front axle and larger tires.
The Johnny bucket will physically fit the frame, but it might hit the tires and/or not reach the ground. The front tires on a super are further forward than on a GT because of the design of the axle, as well. |

I swapped a super axle on my 149- do you see any issues with running a super mowing deck on the 149 then? Besides the belt size (assume I could weld a narrower pulley on the deck drive spindle?) Thanks! Derek

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
