46" Triple Rear Bagger, 190-335-100
Is anyone using one of these? I just purchased a 1810 that had one come with it and I was wondering how they work. Are they more trouble than they are worth? Thanks for the input.

I use one to pickup/shred leaves in the fall. Works great but fills up quick. I use the leaves as mulch in my gardens. Haven't used it to pickup grass.

I was thinking of using it for leaves too. I think I will give it a try this fall.

I just purchased a 3 bag unit from Cub Cadet for my GTX2154LE.
Got it all mounted up but have not used it as of yet. Got a fair price and free shipping right through the Cub Cadet parts site! My son lives next door and we have quite a few trees. I think we will trry using his zero turn Cub to windrow the stuff this fall and pick it up with the 2154. Should shred stuff up pretty good I would think. Last fall, we picked them up with a sweeper and ran 'em through the 59A shredder on our 1000, that thing really does a fine job and turns a huge pile of leaves into a wheelbarrow full, but they have to be dry and contain not much, if any, grass. Kind of a pain to have to feed them (slowly) into the shredder, takes a while. Be advised, you may need a mounting kit to make one fit your tractor, I did, at extra cost. Good Luck! |

I think I have everything to mount it. I just have to get all the bugs out of the 1810 that I plan on using it with.

Make sure you have the high lift blades for the 46GT. Cub Cadet makes both. I believe the Oregon replacement blades are all high lift.

Thanks for the tip, Chris. I had not thought of the high lift blades.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
