Default Spring assist ideas?
Today I mounted my blade to the front of my tractor. UGH, its a little heavier then I expected. Other then buying a spring assist (which may just be the best solution right now) anyone just make one? Id rather not spend a ton of cash on this right now or make it to complicated. I do have one of those HF Sam special winches that I have thought of using but again, a little more complicated then I want to go at least this season. Does the spring assist make much difference?

Spring assist makes a big difference. When I had my 122, I had both the IH spring assist and the Brinly spring assist on the lift bar and it was great. Almost effortless.

If you can find the bent rod, a newer spring assist spring works.

That will not work on a wf.
the winch takes too long to lift.plus you have to figger a way to mount it.
Why not just get a correct one for your 108?

This is how I'm leaning but they seem rather expensive for two brackets, a spring and a connecting rod :-(

I'm going to have to do something because this blade is heavier then expected. The first few times I picked it up I thought I could just live with it but then I thought about how many times I'd be lifting this thing all winter and realized I better think of something. So, yeah, I'm shopping.
