Ummm.... I wasn't trash talking. All I said was I have no idea what you are talking about. I'm sorry but I still don't. Sounds like this guy you are talking to is making something special. If you think it will work, then buy it. But without a pic, then we really can't help you. I fail to see what the problem is with the original style arm. They work fine, and you install it when you put the blower on, take it off when you remove the blower. It's only in the way if you put a mower deck on. I'm not sure if what on the cyclops machines you can't leave it on all the time. On the older machines, it hits the deck. I suggest you stay with the original design, and buy the one from extrememotorworks. We know it works.

Either go with one from Extreme or have one made out of 3/4 inch flat bar because the cast ones from cub cadet can and will break. I've broken 2 cast ones pushing snow so I made one out of 1 inch flat bar and no more problems.

Guys, I think the bracket he is talking about is something like this (excuse the crude drawing). I've wondered why someone hasn't made one before but never did much looking into it. It's a single bracket to replace two; it replaces the blade lift bracket that rises above the foot rests and the snow blower lift bracket that drops below the foot rests with a single piece. This is where I believe the "one hole and one pin" statement comes from. If there is someone out there that makes one, I'd love to see a pic and if it's good quality I'd definitely be in for one.

I'm not sure if this will help or hurt peoples confusion but I found pics of both the brackets separate, and did a professional Photoshop mesh of the two for a simulated look of what he's talking about

I purchased a blower lift bracket from Xtreme. The way I saw it was, I wouldn't be able to make it in less that the hour that my $90 was worth! Plus the tools to make something of that quality!

I also bought a NOS blade lift arm only because the seller on epay dropped his price by $20 a few days ago. I don't have a need for it at the moment, but who knows what the future will hold!

Maybe you should drop Aaron a line.He doesn't offer the blade lift. He could kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I would do $125 on that piece!
Edit: don't forget to incorporate the height indicator like the OEM blade arm!

Who knows if it'll go anywhere but email sent to Aaron

If I had the tools/time, I'd just make it myself

I laid the NOS blade bracket on the xtrememotorworks blower bracket and this is what it looks like.

Edit: I have the blower bracket flipped the wrong way. Edit: or maybe not?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
