The only thing GM ever built that was any good was the sbc. Well maybe the new LS engines. The pic is me and a few of my buddies spanking the sporty car kids a few years ago at Watkins Glen. The #60 is me.

Personally I am a Ford guy, but I know just about everyone will jump down my throat for it.... but I will always be one.
BTW that's awesome that you got to race at Watkins Glen!

The only good use I have ever seen for a sbc is an irragation motor. I run 3 sbc and 2 bb. the 350s use oil and dont like to run, the only reason for them is because parts are dirt cheap. Personaly Im also a Ford man, well Ford, International, and Peterbuilt (gotta love a catterpiller engine). BTW good job on the frame, nice fab work! My 149 has twin 14hp briggs (PO). I have been thinking about going with a bigger power plant for it but until I blow this one I probably wont change.

These pics are just for you. I guess I was wrong when I said you guys didn't need to see pics of a steering box but you wanted pics. So here is one of the box for the 71 and one of a box for a JD ![]()

The same stuff I use on everything I own. Mobil 1 as you can see from the can
![]() Today was a Green tractor day. Had to build a new engine mount for the 317 with the Honda. It had a SEW repower kit in it when I bought it and the engine was mounted 3/4" too far to the right so the drive shaft was hitting every time you hit a bump with it. Also fixed the PO's wiring mess. Some 3/8" steel plate and Mr. Miller took care of the mounts. Tossed the rubber mounts in the trash. Thing runs SWEET! ![]() ![]() Only Cub thing I did was to press the new bushing into the 3 pin clutch driver. Hope to get the new clutch tomorrow. One more test fit and then I'll squirt some paint on the old girl and start putting it back together. ![]() ![]()

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
