Got the PTO apart today and the fender pan off, even the screws that hold the foot pads came out with no problems. The little pig is growing on me. I'm going to have to make a special set of rear end braces for it, the brake levers are in the way. No big deal. It has on broken bolt in the rear where it attaches to the frame and it's missing on of the brackets that bolt to the frame near the pump so the whole rear was rocking up and down. I've seen worse. Steering wheel is off. What's the secret to getting the forward reverse lever off, I have the set screw out? Think the PO got all the goodness out of the PTO fingers, button is gone and they ran it right into the lever.

Default Need PTO parts and help

Guys

I'm new to this style of PTO so I need a little help. I need the following items
Cub Cadet IH-473477-R3 Button, Thrust (14 in the green circle)

Cub Cadet IH-473478-R2 Lever, Throw-Out qty3 ( number 25 in the green circle)

These are available but the clutch disk seems to only be sold with a complete clutch. (number 20 in the red circle)

I understand that I also need a setup gage, anyone have one I can borrow?

Are any of you guys doing/selling rebuilt clutch's ?

I'll get the button for the lever from Jeff

Sam you can get clutch disk seperate and rebuild kits sometimes come with clutch fingers. Is this for your 149? You need a wide frame gauge as they are different from NF one

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
