Nate
Here's an old one before I replaced the seat, and gave her a good polish.

All of this talk of "Sub Supers" is giving me flashbacks from the last guy who built one. Let me just say that this place is a better place without him!

I have to agree with the guys on here, after using a 1811 ( a lot like a 782) for a while I kinda got tired of how it steered and using it on hillsides due to the wheelbase. After getting my 982 ( with manual steering by the way) I was impressed with how tight it steered, and really liked the extra stabilty it offers, they are bigger, but if you run a 50 in. deck anyways you won't notice, and I found an extra foot of space to store it So if you can find the room, save them both!

Please keep the drama to pm's. We've moved past that drama years ago no need to bring it public again.

Began disassembling the 2072 last night. Here are a few pictures.

The most disturbing discovery was the fact that all of the motor bolts were gone. There was one left, but the ear it attached to broke off of the engine. I guess the exhaust rubbing on the grill should have been a tip off?

Thanks.

No green stuff here, (1) red, and (1) yellow & white. End result will be red!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
