I think the 169 is on the list because of low production, right before the QL series came out. From what I can tell there were 4005 model 169 tractors built.
Edit: I think the model 800 was 2345 produced.

lol. Jim it actually does bring up a good topic reguarding all cubs. I was just trying to remember the IH built ones. I dont see any harm or foul for other rare cubs either.

The list looks right to me. The next one after the model 86 is the 72 IIRC. The M&W 9 speeds are rare. I think they only made ten of them..........?

Figures, I let an 86 that was all there and mowed get away. I looked at it before I got the 149. It was coming up at an auction and I was out of town when it sold. I put a standing bid in for 100$, wasn't enough. In hindsight I guess I should have went a little more.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
