Anyone know anything about this oil from lube king? Supposed to be a hytran substitute. Or is this like the 303 hyd oil from orscehlens?

The only thing I'll say is,
do be aware some oil has a higher viscosity and will give you problems in cold temps, like slow or no starting and pump cavitation till really warm. 303 from tractor supply did not like to flow well @ colder temps for me. |

Whatever fluid you choose to use be sure it says non foaming, if the fluid foams when hot it will put air in the system and cause the pump to over heat. I run hydraulic/trans fluid from Brad Penn, its what we use in the Ford select o speeds.

I stand firmly in the "there is no substitute" category. I figure the price is just part of the cost of having these toys.

I've gotten to the point that I don't even comment anymore. Read the manual.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
