Danco Snow throwers
Are the Danco bb's as good as the QA series Snow throwers?
The manual says something about adding a small pulley to the front pto. Never seen one, anybody can give me clarity on buying one?

The BB36 was designed for the Originals which didn't normally have an engine mounted PTO clutch. They have a system to engage the thrower mounted on the unit. The CW36 was designed for the bolt on tractors from 70/100 - 1x2/3 series that mostly had engine mounted PTO's.
As far as which is better or what not, I can't help you there. I've got a CW36 only and I've never got to use it yet. I didn't get it mounted until it was too late last winter. I'll be ready this time though. I'm mounting it to my 127. Good luck, Keith

Keith, that snow blower is going to do you no good. The only thing you guys get down there is ice storms! At least that what is seems like by seeing the weather from up here.

We get some snow, sometimes a lot of it. Most of the time though it's too wet for a thrower. Late last season we got some nice fluffy snow but it was gone before I had a chance to play, er, work with it. I guess I might as well bring one to work with the blade on it. That'll free up some room and get another one out of the weather. Had to tarp the 100 last night since it's raining today. Who knows, the rain may turn into snow. Talking about dropping temps tomorrow.

You'll need to get the belt from a cub dealer, or see the gates interchange on it. The original cub part number (My local dealer says all the belts got different numbers over the years) is:
487 043 R1 .Maybe gates has a interchange for it. The Kohler engines use a special 3/8 (7/32?) belt with a deep v design. I tried to find one elsewhere....I was told it was a cub only design. You tighten it by sliding the 90 degree gearbox up/down by loosening the 4 bolts. The holes are slotted.
