I searched but didn't find what I'm looking for. Somewhat put my cub back together today. She's creepin on me.
Will want to creep forward if U put the hydro lever back in park...........throw in reverse to park, will want to creep in reverse............. takes some finesse to get to stay put. Pulled the tunnel cover. Linkage assy at driver rear side of opening seems sloppy. Guessing there shouldn't be so much play. Thanks! |

my 129 has some play in the shift arm too. i don’t think you will want to apply the same fix as the PO did on mine.....
![]() humor aside, i have yet to tear into mine but need to because it is either full forward, stop, or full reverse....and there is a leak somewhere in it. i have ordered the gaskets and filter and plan to look into it next week so i am interested in the creep fix in case i end up with it too. rc

Here is a few pictures
if there is a slot worn where the trunion springs are this will cause the creep/one of the reasons!!! ![]() here the slots ,in the top of the "square" opening ![]() you want as little play in this area ![]() could be the linkage also! jason

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
