There just isn't enough cost difference to buy the Vulcan even though it is on sale for $749.

I have a Lincoln Ranger 8 stick welder that is powered by a 20hp Command. Great welder if I wanna build a bridge or high rise building.

I've been doing a bunch of thinking about what to do.

-- Do I need a multi process welder with the Lincoln that I have?
-- I've never Tig welded and don't know if I will but it looks a lot like silver soldering that we do a lot at work so I think it would be pretty cool to do.
-- Mig is probably what I will do most, I think.

Here is what I've narrowed it down to but still have a bunch of questions.

Millermatic 212 Auto-Set Mig welder.

-- Miller seems to have a very good reputation and I'm kind of leaning that way.

Esab

-- The Rebel EMP 215ic looks nice but it is multi process and made in China but I'm not sure that is a bad thing.

-- I really like the ESAB Fabricator 252i but I think it is being phased out of production and Esab is pushing the Rebel in its place.

I kind of quit asking questions about welders on here cause I've been kicking this purchase around for a long time and I know as my dad would say "it's time to $hit or get off the pot".
