Sounds like it's working out fine. I'd encourage you to try to build the engine yourself. The Kohler manual is very good and as long as you follow the steps carefully, you should be OK. The first one is a little intimidating, but it's actually fun, and if you take your time, it'll come together and you'll have that satisfaction of having done it yourself.
