Well tomorrow is the 100 year anniversary of the landing at Gallipolli in Turkey , where the Anzac forces went up against the firmly entrenched Turkish forces
This is a most celebrated day in Australia and in Turkey.
Also at many places on the Western Front in Europe
As an aside at many battles on the Western Front the American forces were under Australian control , this fact I only recently heard
