To be honest, I'm not sure how similar the older 2000 series are to the newer ones, though I would think the attachment points are the same. Check here for the newer 2000 series (2000 to about 2004/5):

While the 2130, 2135, 2140 and 2145 were strictly lawn tractors, CC might had been thinking "yard tractor" with the 2160, 2165 and 2185 as they had the bigger tires and rims. But I doubt if anyone here would consider them true garden tractors.

You might check Bercomac and Johnny Bucket for attachments compatible with the 2160.

What I would do is keep it if it runs good, and still shifts good. They are very good mowers. And then find an older garden tractor, Cub, JD, Wheel Horse, etc., to do the dirty work. I would think, though, for snow removal the 2160 would do fine with chains and weights. Good luck.
