Sorry for the late reply, had a busy weekend.

I am using a solid 3 Pin Driver from Zach Kerber. So you are saying the ball IS NOT NEEDED if running a solid three pin?
If that is the case, I can take the ball out and a 1/8" longer drive shaft should not have an effect as there is quite there would be quite a bit of room in the coupling.
