No it is not a celebration/commemoration associated with food , however when speaking to any men or women who were associated with the Anzacs , Bully Beef and Anzac Biscuits always make it into the conversation
Aside from all the commemoration the only other pursuit that is synonymous with Anzac Day is it is the one day of the year in Australia and it territories where a particular form of gambling is legal , Two Up
This is a game where 2 pennies are thrown into the air by the spinner and you bet on the outcome , Heads , Tails etc
The games can draw massive crowds , it is part of remembering the Anzacs
