Fine pick up on the Cub Cadet Corporation ( red paint for IH dealers only ) model 1282! It's twin brother would be the yellow and white CCC model 680, both of which had the Kohler K301AQS power plant. Up until serial # 719,999 , all still retained the cast iron transmission housings. This model 1282 would have still been fully serviceable at the local IH dealerships back then.
