A friend of mine has a 1200 and a 1250, he had the 50 on the 1250 and the 44 on the 1200.... his 1250 had no problem running the50.
remember today's (actually the last 15-20 years) "HP" is nothing like "HP" was when these tractors were current production..... remember something about newer engines.... stickers are cheap. IDK how B&S can get anywhere from 14 to 18HP out of an opposed twin with the same bore/stroke.... the 18 is probably a truer 14HP....
