On the lift: perhaps something is bent on the blower lift frame. Could also be a mount issue. Look everything over good. Post pics of the lift if you can find the issue. We can likely see the problem.

The one labelled 1 in this photo, I believe.
Mine doesn't lift entirely evenly, but it definitely goes up and down enough on both sides.

Do you have a QA-36/42 or a QA-36A/42A? The 36A/42A have additional lift linkages, and it's a slightly different mechanism because of that.
