Default Steering Wheel Removal

Today I made this clamp to use with the steering wheel puller that I already had. Got the ideas from here;

The clamp started out as a 1 ¼” x 3” x 8” oak block. I used a 1 ½” hole saw to cut a hole vertically through the center of the block for the steering column, drilled two holes vertically through the block for the 3/8” x 5” galvanized carriage bolts with nuts and washers in locations that would work with my puller, and drilled two 5/16” holes horizontally through the block for the ¼” x 3 ½” carriage bolts with wing nuts and washers. I then ran the block through the table saw to make the two halves.

Worked well.
