Briggs 8 HP to 11 HP (Cadet 282-382)
 

Hi All -

I have a 282 with a worn 8hp Briggs. I am considering replacing it with a NOS 11hp briggs short block, which would make it a 382. Does anyone know what all else I will need to replace to make that fit? Flywheel and ring gear etc.?

I don't. But if it were me, I would go to a B&S (and/or Cub Cadet) site(s) with both engine model & spec numbers, and start doing some research.

Nevermind! I actually found a NOS 8hp Short Block. I have access to a few more if anyone is looking for one. I believe it will fit the cub cadet 80, 81, 182, 282, and others.
