Muffler replacement
Does anyone know how the two tail pieces hook into the muffler. My nephew while backing ran over a pole that caught the bracket the muffler bolts to and bent it back towards front of mower. This broke the four bolts holding the muffler on. The muffler will slide off the two tail pipe ends. Does this bracket hold all this together or is tail pipe ends welded to muffler and they broke loose? Thanks Ricky

Post a few pics of your problem. Other wise check on the Cub Parts site and see how it is supposed to go together. My best answer. Sorry but I've never even seen what you have. :beerchug:

Looks like the dual tail pipes slip into the muffler. The muffler then bolts by 4 bolts to the muffler bracket. My bracket was bent and 3 of the 4 bolts had rusted out of the muffler. Bought a new muffler and bracket which I need to get her going again. The muffler bracket deflects some of the noise but cadet could have came up with a better set up.
