I'm at wits end?
I'm usually good at copying interesting/helpfull posts for myself & keeping them in a folder for future viewing. But some how this one didn't make the folder?:bash2:
Not to long ago a member made new skid plates for his snow blade. Having bought up a thingy from McMasters, welded a washer then welded to a bolt. It seemed better than original. Now I spent at least 2 hours searching for it & can't find the post.:bash2::bash2::bash2: Can ANYONE direct me to the right post & info? Nik, Here is what I want to re-build, http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...ps8ncqucln.jpg |
cant help with the post but if you have welding skills the sell hard face welding rods and wire you could reface the ones you have... just a thought
|
Nope! Skills like that I don't have:angry:
Like I posted, this guy bought parts from mcmasters & almost a exact duplicate of the part that skids along the surface. NIK, |

That's the one I was thinking of Keith, but couldn't remember who did it.
Nik, FWIW, Aaron at extrmemotorworks makes reproduction ones for $34. They are heavier than original. I need to get a couple sets myself. I now clear enough parking lots that I wore out all of mine this winter. The winter of 2013/14 will be known in my book as the "winter from frozen hell". (At least until the next bad winter we have.:biggrin2:) |

YUP. Thats the one. Thanks so much! Did you just remember? Did you have it bookmarked? or If you used the search thing, what did you use as a lead word? I tried & tried & couldn't find it.:bash2: |

:Morning: For 20$, this is for a pair, skid shoes PN: 2873423, go to your local Polaris dealer. Kit comes complete with nuts and lock washers. I install a set on my CC149 blade and they work just fine. :American Flag 1:
