A couple more items for the work shop

Just ran across a great deal on a Hobart Handler 187 MIG welder.

It's all wired, picked up an argon/co2 mix bottle and some wire. We're ready now.

Picked up a cut off saw and a 1/2" craftsman drill press too.

Hey Jeff, have you had the chance to use the Hobart yet? Just wondering how it works.

It works great. I'm spoiled from using industrial welders at work ( 440VAC 3 phase ) but used within it's capacity, this is one sweet mig welder.

The moved my post to to the home made section ( to die :biggrin2: ) but you can see the brinly style sleeve hitch adapter I made.

Up graded my drill, saw a Yard Sale ad on CL that listed "drill press". I emailed and the guy said it was his neighbors. He got me the info and the price :beerchug:

I was there before 9 am

17" , 5/8" chuck, 1.5 hp and the table cranks up and down. :beerchug:

The new model like this at Sears is 3/4 hp and lists for $619 :biggrin2:

I've got a very similar welder, except mine only has 4 heat settings. do you like it? I love mine, straight argon at 20PSI operating.

My Hobart Handler 187 works very well. I've had better results using the standard Argon/CO2 mixture from the welding supply shop.

Here's a smooth weld using that gas mixture.
