well I have recently purchased a 105 that was not running on its own and after about a month of tinkering and some used parts she is a fantastic running tractor. Starts right up and moves great. I just do not have the time to give it the attention that it needs. Yesterday I sold her to a nice gentleman who was looking for a good running project. I am glad I save it from being parted out and this one I hope will make the new owner happy. So long 105 !!!

Now I am looking for my next project. Was thinking a red one......But I do have a friend that has a very nice 73. the 73 belongs to a small engine repair man who has rebuilt the motor totally .30 over with kohler parts. It has headlights also but no fenders. Mechanically its perfect, new clutch and pto, and the deck is 38" one that works great..........not sold on the gear drive though.........but its a nice tractor that with some paing would be killer. ?????

For what its worth, I saved my 73 from a cold snowy grave and it is a very fun tractor to play around on. It's light enough where I can pick it up and move it around the garage, one end at a time, if needed and a very reliable piece of my collection. I got rid of my deck off of it and wish I hadn't, so I mounted a blade to it and it always performs well for me. I think you would be happy with that 73. Keep us posted!!

73

Well this is the 73. It needs a cosmetic resto. Like I said the motor was done with a 30 over piston and runs like a top. tight steering and smooth deck. Motor has like a few hours since rebuild and the clutch was done too.

I agree with ihnick, I'd love to have that one! That thing is in awesome condition, almost worthy of not restoring it:beerchug:

uggg

well i think I am going to get it. It's a little steep but its all there. He originally wanted $500 for it, but he cut me a little break. I figure like this, if I had to do the head gasket, carb, and steering alone, thats a 100 right there in parts, and the motor is fresh and .030 over already....... hmmm maybe some wax and paint the wheels.........

Yea that's a great looking 73. Wish I could find one in that shape. The model 73 is on my short list. Hope you get it!

stable

It is a good looking 73 and If i wanted it to be mint it really only needs to be painted. I still have my 127 which is a keeper. My 127 is pretty much straightened out now but I still have a few things to do on it. I figure If i bought this 73, its usable just as it sits so I can tear into the 127 and still have a tractor to use for some grass cutting and pulling the cart around when the weather gets better. The 105 I sold was a great runner, but needed attention and I just bought that one to save it from the parting out.

few more pics

Hey everyone, here is a couple more pics of the 73 I think I am going to pick up. I am thinking some cleanup and maybe a set of nice ag tires for the rear and some tri ribs in the front. I kind of like the no fender look.
