It's great to see all this work made to look easy, it gives our confidence a boost that we may be able to do the same thing. The paint looks pretty good Merk, do you have a lot of experience or just a knack for it.

Nice to see all the pics and captions, took a while to read through it all as I'm new to the Cub scene! Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing more:beerchug:

Merk , your cub restoration looks awesome . The more I read these different threads , the more I appreciate the quality of these machines and workmanship and skill sets of this forums members.
I am sitting on the fence of restoring my 123 , due to my lack of experience . but the more I read and look at pictures of the results, truly a motivator .
Merk that is a beautiful restoration . Fantastic that your son is involved as well. Cheers

Wow , you did an awesome job on your cub . Thanks for the pictorial documentation . Truly inspirational for guys like myself who are sitting on fence about restoring their own cub. ( deja vu )

Thanks!!!

There were several reasons behind taking all the pictures. It was a great aid to help put the 70 back together and showing everyone how easy Cubs are to work on. The plans are to make a album to take to shows with the 70.

Paint ?

Paint looks great! What paint did you use and how did you mix it? I'll bet I'm not the only one that wants to know.
