Cub 782 front axle on a 122

Dad and I got tired of the slop in the front end and wanted a better fix. So we decided to use a wide frame front axle. The wider tires out back will compensate for the wider front axle. Has anyone else done this?

I put a 1X8/9 front axle under one of my 122's.

If you use the correct wheels (for the axle) it ends up being the same width as the original N/F axle/wheels/tires.

Depending on this tractors intended use, wide rear tires and N/F front wheels and tires looks kinda cool too though.

I did the same on my 105. I used wider wheel in back so the front wouldn't look odd. I also upgraded to 1250 lbs trailer hubs .

Can you turn the front wheels "in"?? :bigthink:

Yes,Turn your front wheels around or use narrow front rims.
