This one has been for sale near here for a few weeks, comes with mower, deck and blower. Originally advertised at $500, then lowered to $400, I offered $125 and he came back at $250... I havent replied to that as of yet but I might go kick the tires this weekend. Can you guys ID it for me? Approx year? This is the only pic of the tractor.

and the attachments....

Can't say for sure, green stripe on the hood indicates a 108, red stripe 128. Only thing I can say for sure is it's not an 86.
Is that a creeper gear handle I see there? I guess it would be iffen they ever used the tiller on it... It does have a wrong front wheel on the left side. With the attachments that come with it, if it runs, $400 isn't really a bad deal. $250 would be a steal. |
If it is a 10HP Tractor, then it is a 106. If it's a 12HP, it is a 126. The 1x6/7 Series was built between 08/69 to 08/71.

At $250, I wouldn't kick the tires, just start loading and see if any parts are laying around the edges.

As Roland said it's either a 106 or 126, hopefully it's a 126 as its one of the rarer ones. For $250 I'd be all over that, it has a creeper gear which is almost worth $250 by itself.

Have to keep in mind its one of those "It ran when I parked it 10 years ago" ads.... engine could be seized for all I know. Plus I still have a little red 382 Hydro I want to fix up, along with several other projects lined up. If I do pick it up I might just get it up and running throw some tires on it and then wait for a call from a Cub collector I know in Saskatchewan, at least it would go to a good home there.... I buy and sell alot of tractors but usually deal in newer easy to flip machines, older ones are often hard to sell... that or I get attached and dont want to part with them... and thats just not good business.
If its still avail able on saturday I'll drive over with the trailer and probably buy it, but I want a good idea what Im looking at before I get there. I sent him a message this morning asking if he knows the model # so I'll post back when he replies. |
Oh my gosh my mistake, the guys are right, that's what I get for posting at 1:30 in the morning.

I'm going with the 126 over the 106. It is a NF gear drive and it is either one of those two models. You will even make money at $400 with the tiller (and tiller gearbox), thrower, creepy gear, maybe headlights, etc...
If it is a 126, you might not want to flip it being the 4th rarest cub from IH by production #'s! Let us know if you get that one. Cub Cadet 123 |
If that's a 126 you should already have it home for 250
Don't wait too long... |
