Actually my cousin bought it off a guy he worked with about 15yrs ago for $50, I guess he didn't know it was worth way more, when my cousin decided to sell it I bought it and restored it.

I'm not sure how many of you have been to this site but if you are looking for RC stuff to buy/sell I get most of my items from here. Just your standard online garage sale for people to buy and sell their stuff but it's very popular so there is a ton of stuff up there. It's a pretty large RC site in general but I only go to this single thread to buy and sell stuff. Be warned, you could get hooked pretty fast! HAHAHA

Back when I started with electric the batteries were 1100mah sanyos. All the race teams had batteries the rest of us couldn't even buy even if you had the money. The kept the best batteries for their team guys. That's why I started with nitro on road.
Now the lipos they use, someone told me they don't even switch batteries on a race day, I guess you can run then charge right away even if they are hot.
Brushless motors and lipos nowadays.

i can run about 35 minute off a lipo but i always switched them between races, charging a hot lipo is a no no as it ups the chance of it catching fire. im actually planning to go racing for the first time in 2yrs next month for my birthday, hopefully it doesnt take to much practice to shake the rust off.

I'm guessing if you don't over think it and let your instincts take over, it will be like riding a bike, it will all come back you
